Billups Receives Letter of a Lifetime
Joondalup Wolves star and 2018 League and Club MVP Jalen Billups is off to an exciting and hard earnt NBA G-League trial with the Boston Celtics affiliate the Maine Red Claws.
The opportunity is one of a lifetime for the Ohio native, and follows a dominant and highly memorable 24-8-2 season in the WA SBL with the Wolfpack.
Receiving a letter in the post from the Boston Celtics was a huge thrill for Jalen, however he knows that the work starts here, to impress scouts and seek that highly-sought, highly-competitive roster spot.
Billups has departed Australian shores and will enter the Maine program in the coming days for the try-out.
The Wolves program is extremely excited for Jalen and highly supportive of the opportunity. It's a rare privilege and fantastic endorsement of the professionalism of the club and high-performance structure and focus upon player welfare and development.
