The Under-20 Canterbury Cobras were big improvers on last year's tournament in Auckland, winning games against Wellington and Otago. In 2011 they failed to win a game.

Canterbury is hosting the 2012 Under-20 NPC. Games will be played at westminster Park, Mairehau. Teams are visiting from Auckland, Wellington and Otago, with a sprinkling of players from Northland and Waikato, to face off against the young Cantabrians.

AFL club, Port Adealide, aka The Power, will hold a footy clinic on the 1st December at Northwood Park

The campaign to retain the NPC title received a massive boost this week with two sponsors coming on board.

In two highly competitive games, the Bulldogs and Eagles prevailed. All teams showed periods of dominance, but it was the ladder leaders that showed that the game is not won in one quarter

Whether you support the Cta's, or the Pies, or whether you just love AFL, you're welcome to join the Canterbury AFL community at Robbies Bar and Bistro in Riccarton. The pre-match hype starts at 4:30 PM and the Premiers will be doing their lap of honour by 8:30 PM. Game time is 5:30 PM.

After four rounds the gap between aspiring finalists, the Christchurch Bulldogs and the University Cougars and third and fourth placed Eagles and Blues is growing.

Herry Peterson was formally presented to CAFL teams on Saturday as our senior coach for the upcoming NPC defense in Wellingtn

Round 3 saw the Eagles emerge as definite flag contenders as they were edged out by a steely Bulldogs unit by 34-points.

The Blues showed promise as they scored freely at times to take it up to the younger Cougars outfit who won in the end by 71-points

The return of international players saw the standard lift in round 2. The Bulldogs prevailed over a gutsy Cougar outfit, while the Eagles celebrated their second ever win over the slowly improving Blues

The much anticipated clash between defending premiers, the Christchurch Bulldogs and the improved Eastern Blues turned out to be a lopsided contest. The final score, Bulldogs 12 12 84 def. Blues 4 8 32.
