An early set back in race one saw #55 in the pits after one lap.
'The first few laps are always crazy. Turn three had Kelly go into the wall, and in trying to avoid him I slightly locked up the rears, touching McConville, which in turn had someone hit me from behind, leaving me with no where to go but towards the wall.'
Pitting to replace the front bar, #55 soon had to come in again to remove a portion of flapping panel work from the rear bar.
In a race disrupted by safety cars, TD bought the green machine home for a top twenty finish.
In race two TD got a good clean start. Quick to take the racing line into the first corner TD held position and stayed out of trouble for the race.
Unfortunately Tony suffered brake dramas and had to make an extra stop to repair the brakes, which took Tony out of any contention to move up the field, finishing a lonely 25th.
'We went out there aiming to keep the car straight and steer clear of trouble. We were pushing hard but weren't going to do anything silly, we still have the two races tomorrow'.
Qualifying begins at 9am tomorrow before race one at 11.05 and the second at 3.05pm.
