T.D was on the pace from the start of qualifying punching out times to keep The Bottle - O Commodore in the top 15.
The session came to a hault on the first lap out on green tyres when #55 got a left rear puncture. A second set of greens were thrown on but the 20 minute session was over before they had time to come up to temp, qualifying the green machine in 27th position.
'It was disappointing as I no we had the pace, but hopefully we can get back up there for race one.'
Race One had #55 roll out of the bay to be in the 45 degrees position when it did a clutch slave cylinder failure.
Rolled back into the pit bay the boys worked furiously to fix the failure but missed the start of the race, and as regulations state you have to start a race from pit lane or from the grid with the field, number #55 was a DNS.
'You can't predict or prepare for a clutch failure, its just one of those things. It is very unfortunate as i no we could have done well today. Tomorrow's a new day and we will start fresh'.
Day 3 begins for the V8 Supercars at 10.15am for qualifying then race 2 at 1.05pm.
