Spoilers, WU meet separate foes
Defending champion FR Spoilers and Western Union take on separate paths when they face their respective foes Sunday in the resumption of the 2012 season of the Filipino Basketball League at the Palau National gym.
Sporting a 7-0 win-loss record, FR Spoilers aim to keep their clean slate when they face MJ Rangers (3-3) in the main game at 3:30 p.m. Set to pace the Spoilers are Michael Bombita, Coco Gonzales, Aries Echanova, Mark Pagayanan and George Bernardo while the Rangers will try to improve their standings as they will have brothers Jay and Joemar Naguit, Nico Hinoza, Mike Guevarra and veteran skipper Jimmy Domingo.
On the other hand, Western Union (5-1) will have their hands full as they take on the deadly team Choppers (4-2) in the second game at 12:30 p.m. Western Union will be led by Dennis Castro, Emerson Patenia, Bong Alambra, Ewrin Senadre and RJ Jusay as the Choppers will rely on the team of PJ Esguerra, Ronald Reyes, Nelson Dupalco, Jelson Talavera, Erwin Gonzalgo and Eric Dedeles.
In other games, the Ilocandia Bulls face off with Rams/Guardians at 11 a.m. as Surangel and Sons will meet Hanpa Cardinals at 2 p.m. By Peter Erick L. Magbanua (Island Times News)
