The event was organized by the Filipino community in Palau. Different programs were set in the opening ceremony. The parade of the teams was exhibited at the beginning and lighting of the torch. After the national anthem of the philippine and Palau, the opening remark was given by Mr. Aga Devid- TFCP president. Fourteen teams are participating in the league. Felta Flight, Hanpa Cardinals, Ilocandia Bulls, Island Times Bayanihan, Jaguar, Kabalikat S- club, Ksau's Warriors, Palau Wifi Bayanihan PNQ, Rams, Rangers, Spoilers, Surangel stars, Wanbol, and Belechi Choppers are the registered teams. Aqua pure water, blue bay petroleum, CTSI Palau, Hanpa industrial development corporation, Instaprint, Island paradise resort, LKR enterprise, Palasia Hotel, Palau royal Resort, Palau trading, Palau vacation hotel, pinoy express remittance, Royal Cargo, and surangel and son's are the sponsors of the FBL 2016 season. The games were played after the opening ceremony. The first game was battled between Rangers and Kabalikat S- club and Ilocandia Bulls and surangel stars competed the second game.
