STRATH STORM SEES RED IN 2010!
Players, supporters and opponents of the Strathfieldsaye Football & Netball Club will be seeing Red this year as the Club announces its first ever football apparel sponsor.
Leading national roast chicken company Red Rooster has agreed to a 3 year deal through its Bendigo franchise, which will see the famous Red Rooster logo and slogan “it’s gotta be red” on the front of the playing jumpers of the Storm, as well as appearing on the Club’s home and away shorts. The new look playing jumper and shorts will be revealed to the public at the Storm’s season opening selection and meal night, this Thursday night.
Strath Storm President Ray Patterson was delighted in making this joint announcement. “On behalf of the Strathfieldsaye Football & Netball Club we would like to welcome the Prendergast family, franchise operators of Red Rooster Bendigo, to our Club. Red Rooster is a leading Australian-owned quick service restaurant, committed to providing innovative products that are consumer and lifestyle focused, whilst aiming to exceed customer expectations. These are similar qualities that we like to encompass here at the Strathfieldsaye Football & Netball Club.”
Local Red Rooster franchisee Corey Prendergast was also delighted in announcing the 3 year arrangement “Red Rooster Bendigo is proud to be partnering with the Strathfieldsaye Football & Netball Club. After a remarkable debut season by the Strath Storm, we wish the Club well in season 2010.”
In addition to the playing apparel, the famous Red Rooster logo and “its gotta be red” slogan will also be displayed along the boundary fence of the main oval of the Strathfieldsaye Recreation Reserve.
The arrangement will also see the club enjoy quality roasted chickens provided by Red Rooster Bendigo for their Thursday night meals, on a monthly basis.
A 100% Aussie owned company, Red Rooster began from humble beginnings in Western Australia in 1972. Today, Red Rooster has over 360 stores nationally and employs over 5,000 people since being acquired by Perth based business Australian Fast Foods in 2002.
So when you thinking of quality roasted chicken and sides remember…”it’s gotta be red!”
