It was a very successful season launch at the Avoca Public Park today.
A brief training run that encompassed both of the football and netball groups training together, and was very well received. Training finished off with a netball game between the footballers and the netballers with the footballers handing the girls a lesson.
A BBQ lunch followed. (Thank you to the people who donated the salads) and thank you to Pyrenees Premium Cuts for providing the meat and to Shear Delights for providing the Bread.
Club President Bill Drummond then addressed the big crowd that was in attendance and spoke of some of the more professional aspects that the club will be implementing this season. Bill also acknowledged our Principal partner Redfield Transport for thier ongoing support and ackowledged all of our supporting sponsors. Bill then presented the committee personnel to the crowd and we thank all of these people for giving their time and effort to operate our club this season.
Coach’s A.J Bourke, Damien Scott and Nick Coghlan were then presented to the crowd, and Coach A.J Bourke spoke of what he expects this season and into the future.
It was a very good atmosphere at the clubrooms today, and if it is an indication of the season ahead then it all looks to be very promising, both on and off the field at the Kennel this season.
