The well used sentence, in it at 3 quarter time but faded in the last, is becoming all too familiar out at Muldoon Oval.
It was the scenario again on Saturday when the Swans took on the unbeaten Hawks at Muldoon.
Not for the first time this season the Swans had competed evenly for most of the match only to disappear in the last term.
Admittedly the Swans had 22 players unavailable across both seniors and reserves but the Hawks had their share of missing players as well.
Young under 17s player Broderick Hill played way beyond his years, with Adam McDonald getting plenty of quality touches as well.
Co Captains Jason Drew and Brent Doyle once more led the way and are without a doubt the most consistent contributors week in week out for the Swans.
The whole atmosphere has changed at the Swans this year and a lot of that goes down to the appointment of the two club leaders in Jason Drew and Brent Doyle.
The Swans are definitely improving as mentioned many times this year and if a few of the Swans players follow the example being set by these two the improvement will quicken and the Swans will be singing.
Proof of the Clubs improvement came on Saturday with an under strength Reserve Grade coming from behind to beat the Hawks. It was their first win of the season and follows up their narrow six point loss to the Tigers the week before. The victory song could be heard out at the cricket at Tony Ireland Stadium.
