In tribute to Flash being the only team member to have a Footy Card of himself from back in his heyday, sometime in the last century, a special run was done for the rest of us! Only difference is you can get ours off the internet on this website's gallery. Back in Flash's day, in-a-net was a way of catching fish! and Footy Cards came in Scanlens Bubble Gum wrappers and Wheat Bix boxes!
Enjoy!

2012 B&F Pops the Question.
September 20, 2012
2012 Bayside Bombers Best & Fairest Adrian ‘Ada’ Roberts, decided the Bayside Bombers Presentation Night was the perfect time to pop the question to his long term partner, Joanne. In front of his team mates and guests, it was a surprise to all when Ada called Joanne to the front, after he was announced as the 2012 Best & Fairest, dropped to his knee and proposed. While strategically placed team mates had every exit covered, Joanne gave Ada the answer he wanted!
Congratulations to Joanne and Ada on their engagement from all at the Bayside Bombers.

2012 Bayside Bombers Presentation Night
September 20, 2012
It was the night that we could ditch our tight red footy shorts with the hot pink lips on them! It was the night we didn’t have to worry about having any pain inflicted on us by the opposition! It was the night that pain would be self-inflicted! It was the night that our better halves could show us up! It was the night we could let our hair comb over’s down! It was the 2012 Bayside Bombers Presentation Night!

In the last round for 2012, a Saturday night game at Cooly, was a contest til half time, after which, the Cooly boys cruised away to a good victory in a high standard game. Bayside Bombers Have a New Home
June 01, 2012
Bayside Bombers will shift to the grounds of the Redlands Bombers NEAFL Club. In recent discussion by both of the clubs leaders, Redlands have welcomed us with open arms and are excited to have us there.
It seems to be a win-win situation for both Bayside and Redlands. Lifting the profile of MAFL, it will provide the opportunity for the Bayside Bombers to play after a few Redland Bombers SEQAFL Cup home games.
Patrons at the Victoria Point Sporting Club will have yet another sporting option for their viewing pleasure of 36 veterans puffing around a footy field. The move will no doubt provide more attraction for the families of the Bayside Bombers team that often come to the games.
With a number of Fossils (Former old school sharks legends) playing in the Bayside Bombers MAFL it should attract the other Fossils to the field on game days. Maybe a possibility of some even pulling the boots back on knowing they’ll be playing for the club they love!
Redlands have also asked if Bayside as a group would participate in a couple of yet to be decided functions next year as a whole club. A move that will hopefully keep the young A graders at the club chatting and creating a club bond.
This brings another exciting chapter to the 10 year history of the Bayside Bombers MAFL, following a successful undefeated 2011 season. The move allows the Bayside Bombers to train on an entire oval, play on a beautiful ground, draw players from an untapped resource, use the facilities at hand and enjoy celebrations and functions in a club which stays open longer.
The 35+ listed players will officially start training at Victoria Point this Monday night (4th June) from 6.30pm.

Bombers Sink Souths Sharks
June 01, 2012
Last Sunday, on a crisp, sunny morning at Queenscroft Street, Chelmer, the Wilpak Bayside Bombers Masters AFL team, lived up to their name with a masterly performance, sinking the Souths Sharks, with what most football observers considered to be the best game of their season to date.
Strengthen by the inclusion of Teale Weller and Andrew Monks in the forward line, who combined with the man of the match, centre-half-forward Jason 'Rookie' March who owned his position all day, the Bombers were able to carve out a modest lead of 7 points, to better a strong starting Sharks at end the first quarter.......

Bombers Teach Moorooka a Lesson at Uni - Round 4
September 13, 2012
Bombers travelled to Griffith Uni and did battle with a gallant Moorooka. We didn’t come away with more brains, just the four points. The game was a one-sided affair with on-ballers reaping the rewards of the best tap ruckman in the comp in, Bags. This enabled us many forward entries, and with accurate conversion Bombers ran out comfortable winners. Bombers hard work is paying dividends.

Bomber Left Seeing Stars - Round 3
September 13, 2012
What is it with you guys? This game was played on a very wet ground, but the Caboolture boys ran the Bombers off their legs for 4 quarters in a very impressive home team performance. Their accuracy round the goals belied the appalling conditions on the day. Perhaps Bombers pressure lacked a bit, as did their fitness, but we do brag some good beer guts', which doesn’t surprise after the Hervey Bay effort. Anyway we can only improve.

Bombers Choke at the Bay - Round 2

The Bayside boys travelled by bus to compare their football skills with the Hervey Bay Fruit Bats. After a sluggish start, for mysterious reasons, we attempted to settle into flowing footy, and got worse. By the end of the encounter the Bomber boys were sore in body, which matched their heads, which they went into the game with.

The new look Bombers resplendent in a predominantly white and red strip started slowly against Kedron in a kick to kick first half which had the scoreboard attendants struggling to stay awake up to half time as the Bombers went to the break up by only 8 points.
