Volunteering and Rosters

At AC Carina Football Club our mission is to provide an enviroment where people feel connected and appreciated as part of a community. We offer a range of football programs to encourage participation and engage with the local community to promote and foster the sport of football. It is our vision to be a leading football club renowned for our junior programs and a welcoming, inclusive enviroment that embraces cultural diversity and encourages participation for people of all ages.

Canteen Roster

The sausage sizzle and the canteen assist AC Carina FC  in raising vital funds towards the running and maintenance of the club, keeping fees low and improving and purchasing new equipment, we value and appreciate your time and help in assiting us to run this each week.

Wet Weather

In the event of rain we ask that players/parents do not ring the club on match days in regard to the cancellation of games. On a wet day a member of the Executive Committee will visit the grounds and decide if games are able to be played. In the event games are cancelled a notice will be posted on the website home page to advise if games are off and the club will endeavor to contact all team managers. If you do not hear from the club then please assume your game is still on. Coaches and managers are unable to make the decision to postpone the game, this will lead to a forfeit.

The same will apply for training sessions a notice will be posted on the website homepage to advise if fields are closed due to the weather, in this circumstance if fields are open coaches can still contact their team to cancel their training session for that night.

Structure

The club is run through a small executive committee that interact with all those who undertake volunteering roles. All members of the club are welcome to become committee members and attend meetings, we value your time and help and the more hands make your Club stronger. All executive roles are undertaken on a voluntary basis.

Team Management Roles

Each team at AC Carina is managed by two people, for the junior teams these are often volunteer parents of players within that team:

Coach: The role of the coach is to train, assist, support and mentor players in all aspects of the game including running all training sessions in conjunction with the Director of Junior Football and the clubs Technical Director. The coach also leads the team on match days, following the clubs policy that all players should have equal playing time over the duration of the season, it is a key component of the role to bring out the best in each and every player. AC Carina prides itself on being a family friendly club and asks all its coaches to lead by example by promoting a love of the game, respect for team mates, for all opponents and officials.

Manager: The Club Secretary will liaise with team managers in regard to all administrative and organisational aspects of their team, each manager will then distribute this information to their players/parents. At the beginning of the season the manager will ensure the team lists and contact details are correct, advise the Secretary of any corrections/changes and distribute this information amongst the team. Throughout the duration of the season the manager will ensure the team has its training schedule and each week will distribute game fixtures, times and field location to the parents, they will also organise the orange roster for half time. When match games are at home the manager will also advise parents if it is their teams turn for canteen duty or field set up, (rosters will be published to this page once the fixtures have been confirmed).

Communication

For a successful and enjoyable 2014 season communication between the club, players and their parents is vital. At AC Carina FC to ensure all information is received by everybody the line of communication, once players are allocated into their teams, will be through their coaches and managers. If there are any queries or concerns or information is sought from the club then the team manager or coach can contact the Executive Committee at accarinafcsecretary@gmail.com or if it is in regard to a last minute fixture change the Club Secretary on 0421 336942.

Any information that the club issues for players and parents will be posted onto the website and an email will be issued to the coaches and managers only to also distribute this information to their team, it is their role to ensure this is passed on. The best source for all club information is the website and all families should be encouraged to use this when they have any queries. Information will also be posted onto the AC Carina Football Club Facebook page so we encourage members to like this page.

We are always looking for various forms of help from our members. Please don’t hesitate to contact us at accarinafc@hotmail.com if you can assist.
