The Werribee Football Club represented by Mackillop College boys and girls, won its first Unity Cup Victorian Championship in the girls division recently at JJ Holland Park, Kensington.
The event involved 13 teams divided into boys division 1 and 2. and a girls division. Both Werribee teams went through the day with one loss earning themselves a place in the grand final.
The girls defeat Mt Scopus to win Werribee Football Club its first Unity Cup, while the boys had to settle for runners up, after a close match against North Melbourne Football Club’s Team Africa.
The Werribee Football Club continues to lead the VFL in community development initiatives by providing local residents the opportunity to participate in great events.
