Shaun Gannon dual Best & Fairest winner has been appointed Senior Captain for season 2013. Frankie Raso announced his appointment at the launch and said he had Ganno as a potential leader on arriving at the club and the pre season and practice match confirmed his ability to lead the club. Speedy Signing

The Roosters are over the moon with the pre Christmas signing of Raygan Tate.
Raygan who resides at South Morang comes to West via Whittlesea.
A premiership player with the Eagles ,he played junior footy at Epping and South Morang before heading north to the showgrounds in 2009.
His desire to play NFL Division 1 is behind his move to Preston Nissan Park where he has found his new teammates most welcoming.
The coaches and players are great to get along with and I have a really good feeling about the place" he noted. "I'm really looking forward to playing footy here".more

West Preston young utility James McInerney wraps up a tough pre-season campaign

West Preston young utility James McInerney wrapped up his tough pre-season campaign last Sunday by completing the Geelong Long-Course triathlon. A Long-Course triathlon consists of a 1.9 km swim, followed by a 90 km bike ride which is then followed by a 21.1 km run. Having completed his first triathlon only 3 weeks ago, James’s performance on Sunday was nothing short of unbelievable. His time of 4 hours and 45 minutes was simply amazing.more

Where Are They Now? – Big Macca McLeod

Though many of us spent their childhood dreaming of one day kicking the goal the ultimately wins the game, the reality is, very few of us ever find ourselves in this situation. Never being fortunate enough to be “in the right place at the right time” so to speak, I did have the privilege to be on the ground at Moore Park in 1993, when in fact, Big Mac Mcleod had his finest moment: delivering the crashing blow in the form of a 50m drop punt after the siren that downed Diamond Creek by 2 pts.more

Ryan is a Year 12 student at the famous sporting school Assumption College Kilmore. Ryan initially grew up in Rooster territory in Reservoir and now resides at Hidden Valley, north of Melbourne.

A lover and keen follower of all sports, Ryan is particularly passionate about football and soccer, both of which he has played through Junior ranks with success.
