Welcome to the official Website for the Kalkee Football & Netball Club Inc. Kalkee FNC is affiliated with the Horsham District Football League and the Horsham District Netball Association, with senior and junior grades in both football and netball. Our home ground is located on the Kalkee plains, 17 kilometres due north of Horsham, along the Blue Ribbon Road.

Throughout the season we will endeavour to keep you updated with all the news and results from Kalkee. To view results, fixtures, ladders etc for the football go to the '2009 Season' tab at the top of this page, then click on 'Football Results' and then follow the links to whichever grade you wish to view. To view netball results go to the '2009 Season' tab then 'Netball Results' and click on the round you wish to view.

Four Kees Premierships in 2009

What a great year 2009 was for Kalkee, with four grades winning premierships. Our Seniors dominated all year going through the season undefeated and continued that dominance on Grand Final day by beating Harrow Balmoral by 85 points. After being 22 points down at quarter time our players rallied after the first break and never looked back. Riley McFarlane lead the charge kicking five goals and being awarded the VCFL medal for being the best on ground. In a thrilling A Grade netball Grand Final the scores were locked on 40 goals each at the final whistle. The game went into ten minutes of extra time and the Kees came out victors over Edenhope Apsley by the smallest of margins 47-46. Our Under 14's Footballers started our day of success by winning their match by 56 points against Noradjuha Quantong. It was a great effort by the team to take out back to back premierships after loosing about 12 boys from last years squad. Jack Anders won the VCFL medal. Our 13 & Under netball team capped of a great season with an 8 goal win over Noradjuha Quantong to become premiers and champions. Jenelle Cosford received the best on court medal.

Coaches for 2010 Appointed

The Kalkee Football & Netball Club is pleased to announce that Josh Mibus and Tim Wade will be our Joint Senior Coaches for the 2010 season. Former Horsham United Best & Fairest winner, Jake Kearney, will be Assistant Coach, while Trevor McRae has been reappointed as Reserves Coach. We are also pleased to retain Steve Schultz, Grant Schultz and Matt Beddison from last seasons coaching panel, who will be used in specialist roles for the coming season. Our new coaches are keen to get started and are currently speaking with all the players and hope to retain the majority of the 2009 premiership side. Details of a 'Meet the Coaches Day' and summer training will be annouced soon. We also expect to announce our Junior Football Coaches shortly. Steve Schultz Wins 2009 Dellar Medal

Steve Schultz has won the Dellar Family Medal for the HDFL Senior Best & Fairest for the second year in a row. He won the award on 26 votes, two votes ahead of Daniel Baker of Pimpinio. He was presented with his trophy at the League presentation dinner on Monday 14th September at Horsham Sports and Community Club. Hamish Exell won the award for the most votes for a player under 21 years of age donated by the HDFL 200 Club. Also on the night Simon Adams was runner up in the Reserves Best & Fairest and Phil Mills was presented with the Reserves Leading Goal Kicker award. Kalkee Football & Netball Club once again took out the Club Championship award. Steve Schultz, Grant Schultz and Josh Mibus received plaques for their selection in the VCFL state team. Last month at the HDFL Junior presention night we also had several netball award winners, namely Maggie McFarlane - 13 & Under Best & Fairest, Taylor Mentha - 15 & Under Runner Up B&F and Brittany Lawson - 17 & Under Equal 3rd B&F. Well done to all of our award winners.

UNDER 17's COACHES ANNOUNCED

Senior players Andrew Jackson and Rowan Hill will be our Under 17 Football Coaches for season 2010. Both are experienced footballers but new to coaching. They will have a handy list of players in the under 17's for the coming season and we wish them all the best in their new role.
