Shock News as Bombers celebrate 9 wins from 9 games

As the Bayside Bombers celebrated their triumphant win away over the Hervey Bay Fruit Bats, on the return bus trip Coach Taity hit us with the most distressing news ever to hit the Masters team. He announced that he was following his heart to Tasmania to close up his long distance romance with his better half, Debbie.

An emotional time for the coach as the season draws to an end, with three games remaining, he revealed that he would be departing for Tasmania before the last game due to new work commitments. Seeing Tait’s serious face, as they’ve seen so many times before during quarter time breaks, the bus drew quiet with most of the team in disbelief after realising the 1st April was well and truly passed.

At an emergency stop at a Gympie servo to consol distressed team members, it was the team’s water-boy/BBQ chef, big Bear, showing the most emotion almost breaking into tears from the news. The team pulled themselves together for the remainder of the trip, knowing full well this may be the last bus trip coach Tait would be taking with them.

Seriously, the team would like to thank Michael for the years of dedication to the Bayside Bombers Masters team. Not only has he been a great coach, team member and player, but a great mate! We wish him the very best for the future and the new chapter in his life in Tassy.
