Cameron Breust comes to St. George in 2014 for his first season of AFL after a distinguished career in rugby league.
Born and raised in Wagga Wagga, Cameron had a distinguished junior rugby league career which included stints with the Canberra Raiders Juniors for 3 years, being selected to play for Australia in the school boys competition in which he played against England, France, and New Zealand, as well as playing Toyota Cup for Parramatta Eels before moving to St.George Illawarra in 2012.
Plus in 2013 Cameron was selected to play for Australia in the University World Cup in England and France.
Cameron did play some AFL as a junior in Wagga, where he developed an understanding and appreciation for the game.
Cameron has come across to AFL at the age of 22 for the challenge of succeeding at a new sport as well as being inspired by his cousin Luke Breust who was an important member of the Hawthorn 2013 premiership team.
Cameron is a personal trainer and has really enjoyed the different training regime that AFL pre-season has provided, and the large amount of running that it entails.
With his strength, athleticism, and sporting pedigree, St. George AFC is excited about the contribution that Cameron will make to the club's success in 2014.
