The Tathra Sea Eagles have appointed club great Ryan O'loghlion to coach the Senior Team in Season 2015. Ryan will take over from 2013 Premiership Coach Luke Taylor, due to Taylor stepping aside for the benefit of the Team. Taylor explained that he thought it was time for a change a year out from when he's time was meant to be up as the Senior Coach. The 2013 Coach of the Year agreed to Coach the Sea Eagles for a further two years after coaching the Senior Team to an undefeated Senior Premiership in 2013, but due to a rocky 2014 campaign he thought it was the right time for a change and thought Reggie would be the perfect man for the job. " I just want to make it clear that this decision was made for the better of the Tathra Sea Eagles future, I just want to win and I think with a new voice and some new ideas from a player as respected as Reggie will bring some new life to the group and hopefully will revive our playing list so we can compete for another Premiership, cause that’s what it’s all about" Ryan O'loghlin has played over 150 Senior Games and Kicked over 600 Goals in he's career, he has also played in 5 Senior Premierships with the club and won the Senior club Goal kicking award on 6 occasions and the Club is hoping that he will be able to add a Premiership as a coach to his already impressive resume. When Taylor was asked about the up and coming Season he was very confident that the club will fill both senior grades for 2015 " I’m confident that things will be a bit different this up and coming season, and at this stage we are all pretty confident that we will fill two really competitive senior teams, in 2014 we had the opportunity to blood a heaps of young talent and I think that this is only going to help this year" Taylor was tight lipped when asked about any previous Premiership Players that might be on the comeback for the Eagles or any potential recruits that might be suiting up in the Maroon & white for 2015, but was very confident that Ryan was defiantly the right man to rejuvenate the list " We have a few things happening but we don't like to talk it up, we would rather wait till the season starts and then hopefully come out firing, Reggie and I have been working pretty hard to get a few blokes back, but I am just stoked for Reggie to get his chance to coach this great club, Ryan is definitely one of the best players that I have played with in my time playing footy, and I can’t wait to see him in action, I think he will be really good for the group." The Sea Eagles will start there campaign on the morning of their annual Christmas Party which will be held at the Tathra Beach Bowling Club, the party will kick off at 11:00am on the 14th of December after a light training session which will kick off around 10:00am, Venue TBA for the training session. The club invites all supporters and sponsors to come along, there will be a jumping castle and the big red man will be making an appearance.
