First of all l would like to congratulate every child who played football for the Lancefield Junior Football Club for a great season, and also to all the coaches for the time and effort they put into the children this year. Friday night train-ing sessions and Sunday morning game days came around very quickly from week to week and I felt the kids football skills were really improving during those weeks. The kids learnt some basic game structures and continued to de-velop their ball skills and it was always great to see their smiling faces and share their enthusiasm.
This year we had a wide range of playing abilities amongst the players, from beginners to those that were confident from having played last season. Some of the first year play-ers adapted quickly and played some great games, whilst others took their time. Above all everyone tried hard throughout the whole season. Over the season the team played extremely well together and were very competitive all year. I would like to thank the children personally for their efforts and for making the season an enjoyable one. I would particularly like to thank the following people for their roles and support all season: Shelly Thrum for being my team manager and our first aid officer. Shelly did a fantastic job ensuring everything was organised and ran smoothly on game days. Brad Ryan for his support and assistance at training and during our matches. Ken Weber and Paul Rix for being our field umpires and to all the parents who helped with the game day duties and at training. In finishing I hope the children had fun playing football for the Under 9 Lance-field Tigers, and I look forward to watching them develop over the next few years. Thanks very much to everyone in-volved in the Lancefield Junior Football Club.
GO TIGERS!!
