Nathan Peters has won the 2014 MJ Miller Medal for AFL Mackay's Best & Fairest, making it back to back medals for the Saints following Blake Miles' win in 2013. Nathan out polled Michael Fisher & Nicolas Proud of Moranbah who are joint runners-up. Nathan's win adds to his representative honours for 2014 after being selected in the NQ Stockman's team. Nathan joins past Saints David Synnott ( 1970 ), Frank Zeolla ( 1974 ), Peter Morris ( 1997 ), Robert Wells ( 1998 ), John Price ( 2006, 2007 & 2008 ) & Blake Miles ( 2013 ) as winners of the league B&F.
Congratulations Ice!
Ryan Hollows has tied with Jack Churches of Mackay City for the Reserves League B&F. Ryno can add this to his list of acheivements with the Saints, including 2 senior premierships & rep honours. Is there an age limit on this award?
The Saints also took out the leading goal kicker award for the seniors, with Brendan Riddle leading the list. Great effort to come back from a serious knee injury in recent years. Skeet is a product of the Saints juniors and he has now ensured his name will on the honour board for all to see forever more.
Our AFL Womens team also collected at the league presentation, with Rahnee Vaccaneo taking out the Most Improved Player award. Well done Rahnee, and well done to all involved with the Women's team in their inaugural year. Onwards & upwards from here.
