Former Currra Swans junior players Joel Sim and Khyle
Goodman have been selected to play for the Queensland Country Kookaburras in
the upcoming state championships.
Morningside bound Sim will join former Swan team mate Khyle Goodman
who is currently at Redland Bay in the Kookaburras side.
Both players were members of the Swans 2008 and 2009 all
conquering U17 premiership sides.
Goodman and Sim were members of the Townsville Eagles U18
development program this summer and whilst they took different paths to the
championships both boys played good enough footy to be selected.
Sim made the side via the Eagles and Central Queensland
sides while Goodman courtesy of his scholarship at Redland Bay was given a
direct path to the Central Queensland side.
Both these boys will missed at the Swans in 2010 along with
Sunshine Coast bound Taylar Webb.
It would have great to see these boys playing for the Swans
seniors side in 2010 but bigger things await for them and all at the Swans wish
them well in the budding football careers.
