HOT prospect Josh Hall once again proved why the AFL world is buzzing about his emergence on Saturday.
A fortnight out from a proposed trial game with the Gold Coast AFL club's reserves team, the international-class high jumper produced a best-on-ground performance to inspire Curra to an impressive win over Hermit Park.
The Swans won 18.7 (115) to 14.8 (92) in the round nine RMS AFL Townsville Premiership clash at Muldoon Oval.
Hall booted four goals to head the goalkicking list with teammate Tarquin Neal, as Curra notched their first win over the Tigers this season.
But it wasn't that the 21-year-old dominated the scoresheet that had Swans coach and Townsville's AFL Queensland development manager Peter Young adamant the 21-year-old had a big future ahead of him.
"He was just sensational," Young said of Hall's first game back in four weeks, which also included in excess of 20 marks.
"The way he moved, the way he attacked the footy ... and he just controls the air - I thought he was fantastic."
Hall has only played a handful of AFL games over the past two seasons as he concentrates on his 2012 Olympic dream. But another standout game for the Suns reserves against Northern Territory in Cairns in a little under two weeks in a curtain-raiser to the Gold Coast-Richmond clash could offer up a few conflicting thoughts.
"He'll handle it. His body shape has got to change a little bit with his strength, because as they get up to that next level they're a lot stronger ... but I think his jumping, power and running ability, he'll be up there," Young said.
"I think he'll compete well."
An eight-goals-to-one final term in favour of the Tigers added some respectability to the scoreline for the former competition leaders.
