A lack of consistency over four quarters cost the Swans in their clash with Hermit Park at Muldoon Oval on Saturday.
The Swans came out and matched the Tigers in the opening quarter and for the first time this season were in front at the break.
In the second quarter the Swans were unable to maintain their intensity and the Tigers run away with it.
As mentioned previously , consistency is going to be a major problem this year for the Swans and victories will not come until the side learns to string four quarters together. The third quarter saw the Swans match the Tigers midfield out of the middle and at times had the defending premiers second guessing.
At three quarter time the Swans were only down by five goals and in with a chance to cause an upset.
However the tigers regrouped and rattled home six unanswered goals to leave the Swans searching for answers.
Positives to come out of the game for the Swans were the blooding of some more experienced players like Dave Anspach. Leigh Ewing and the return of Carl Ward, all of whom will only get better from the run.
Adam McDonald was the Swans best and has most probably been the most consistent all year. The Swans can only dream of Adam and his brother Jack running out together in the red white and blue.
Another brother act in Blair and Jarrod Hill played well at opposite ends of the ground.
A special thank you to Meteor Car and Truck Hire for the use of the marquee.
