The Curra Swans have named Carl Ward, David Anspach, Jarrod Hill, and Mitchel Webb in a forward line loaded with height and muscle for their clash with Hermit Park at Neil French Oval on Saturday.
All four are big men with strong marking capabilities. Adam McDonald, Nathan Wescombe and Jason Drew will rotate through the forward line as well to add some pace as well as crumbing the big men.
The Swans midfield also looks solid this week with Coach Peter Pyle having a rotation of Drew, Wescombe, Brent Doyle and new comer Tyson McNeil at his disposal. All quality players capable of giving the Swans forwards plenty of ball.
The key to the match may well come down to the Swans defence which will be bolstered with Stephen Taylor returning to the fold. Taylor will give the Swans plenty of drive off the back flank and joins what looks like a fairly solid defence.
Ruckmen Tom Madsen also returns this week to partner young giant Dylan Bycroft and the pair will give the midfielders plenty of first use opportunities.
Tarquin Neil and James Long also return giving plenty of pace to the Swans on the wings.
The Swans have a named a big side for a clash which is expected to be a very hard fought encounter but they also have plenty of pace and some very good ball winners in a well balanced side.
Only centreman Ben Keep, forward Leigh Ewing and defender Robert Anderson are out this week giving the Swans one their strongest line ups of the season.
