Roddy crossed to the Bears with Chops back in the olden days and served the Club well on the field and kept us all entertained off the field with his humour and antics. Roddy also served on the committee and gave us 5 years as President where he steered the Club away from possible extinction to become a well established member of the Southern Football League. Running a painting company with his brother and raising a young family as well finally took it's toll (along with his age), and Roddy retired after the end of the 2009 season.
Still can be seen at the Club from time to time and if he is there you wont have to look too far to find Chops, they share a special friendship which has helped to mould the friendly atmosphere at our fine club.
