I’m calling the victims of crime for all our supporters after the weekend, the boys turned down the offer to change venues at the last minute poking the beast into action. It didn’t help that the boys leant over the fence during the warmup. It was a good old fashioned demolition by a quality side who put their A Grade side out whilst we could only manage our Under 9s. Most sides will experience losses like last week. It’s how we bounce back that we will be judged. The day wasn’t much better earlier in the day with the 2s and 19s also going down. Danny Coen suffered a serious injury dislocating and breaking his ankle, we wish him a speedy recovery.
Kane Heaney “Ernie” was the player you needed in the Best Player tickets
Today its Macleod at home who we haven’t beaten for many years.
Next week were back home for Round 18 against Lalor so stay around for the usual end of year fare.
Renovations. Stage 1 of the works at the club are due to start very shortly with improvements to the viewing area. Thanks to Darebin Council, Aneeta Windows, OzAwnings and The Coterie Group for their support in getting this underway. Stages 2-137 will follow.
Friday Joker Raffle Dips & Crackers Bomber is doing a great job selling the tickets, Heather’s dips and Mario’s fermented meat. The Jackpot is close to 2 Grand and the draw is conducted at 7PM. Tickets are available all week.
Around The Traps Damien Smith will play his 100th A grade game this Saturday one of the last surviving members of the 03 Flag. Which neighbour was last seen drinking cats milk in the morning. Large had only to half time to wait to collect. When are we getting rid of the rocking chairs another “victim” last Friday after the footy. At the after match Meesy mentioned that their opponents all had kids we don’t even have girlfriends yet.
