A great game of fast flowing local football was seen at the Lake oval last week with the Roosters prevailing with a brilliant last half of football after a torrid first half. Great to see The Party Boy up and about and Simon showing why is was great at the previous level. Sando couldn’t get amongst the best looks like ll have to start giving votes again and Naci did a great job down back. The 2s got away with the chocolates in a sea sawing affair. The 19s went to sleep in the 3rd qtr which cost them any chance of winning but are continuing to improve each week. The Best Player Tickets went to ITWASA in round 3, Homicide in round 2 and Long John in round 1.
This week its Eltham who are hard to beat on their home ground but we might have a trick or 2 up our sleeve with Anthony Rocca making his senior debut for the club. Next week at Home its the Grand Final Replay V Heidelberg who will no doubt be seeking revenge.
Around The Traps For those who didn’t take on the Auskick role missed out on the huge pay rise Neil “Crazy” Rodriquez picked up last Friday when he chose card no 52 to pick up the $2,800 Jackpot and immediately was thinking of ways he could do something for the Auskick kids. It was great to see many helpers at the club early Saturday morning turning the construction site into something usable. The windows were a huge success and made viewing more enjoyable. I wonder if Perry swings the mop as well at home as he did around the rooms. Another great day last week with a good strong thirsty crowd in attendance to see the return of Golden Boots & International Aussie Rules coach Richie Laidler sire of carlton player Jeremy. Young Mick Irving was a bit confused when he kept tackling a opposition player but she didn’t have the ball.
Ladies Night is on after this weeks game and not really sure whats happening but the Sleemans have it under control and apparently once the ladies are inside they wont have to put their hand in their purse again $20 entry for ladies and gents.

This is a great initiative led by Paddy & Adam from the juniors and Vin & Jake from the Seniors. Next week its the 13s & 14s turn
