Last week in front of another huge crowd Eltham showed us they came to play and at the end of the day thoroughly deserved their win. It proves we still have alot of work to do if we are to be part of the finals this year. Trevor Smyth who played his 2nd game of football ever in the 2s on Saturday found himself playing his 3rd in the A grade match after a late withdrawal and didn’t look out of place. The 2s had another good win and once again the 19s went to sleep in one qtr. This week they have the week of and a chance to top up on their fitness. The Best Player Ticket went to B&F in round 4.
This week at Home its the Grand Final Replay V Heidelberg who will no doubt be seeking revenge and a win is a must for both clubs. Next week were of to Whittlesea who are travelling well.
Around The Traps Trevor Smyth continued entertaining the crowds after his debut by showing of his rig to the ladies. Bonna offered me a lift home last Thursday and when we got to the car park he forgot that he didn’t drive to the club. Icey volunteered to be the runner and looked the part in his work boots. Ladies Night was a huge hit and luckily one Sleeman (Ms)was on the ball. Thanks to those that attended and all the ladies for looking fascinating. Thanks to all the players for helping behind the bar and following that old biblical lesson about serving the good wine last.
The Roosters Rockin Ball is on Saturday May 21st and tickets are on sale from every senior player or Turbo and Kate. $90 for a 3 course meal and drinks from 7pm till 12am at The Regal Ballroom in Northcote. Their will be some auction items on the night. All Welcome

Juniors are now at the re grading stage and many sides will move to the top level. They have their first function this Sunday after the last game at the club with plenty of fine food and an update from the coaches. Today we welcome the Under 13s/14s down for the day
Lakeside Netball beat Watsonia last week and took on North Heidelberg Friday. Next week they take on South Morang at 8.30pm at RMIT. They are looking at fielding a 2nd team next year for any ladies interested. They also cater for juniors at all levels.
Renovations are now well and truly starting to take shape and stage 1 the viewing area has been completed. The multipurpose room will begin in July see notice boards for plans.
Coterie Group is up and running again and at various levels so see Milesy, Polly or Mario for further details. They will hold their first luncheon for the year on May 14th Round 5 V Heidelberg behind the new glass. Please RSVP to Chris asap.
