It seems like an eternity since we were 23 points up at ¾ time to go down in the last quarter a bit disappointing that. Billy “Partyboy” Morrison got the chocolates in the Best Player tickets despite bruising that blokes bicep. The 2s went down but some stuck there hand up for senior selection and some didn’t. The 19s put in a good performance up against a top 4 side. They now begin a run against the lower sides and hopefully finish the year with some wins
Today its MacLeod who have been our bogey side of late with all games being decided by narrow margins. After the game Paddy Fitz will entertain the crowd in his own unique style.
Finally Anthony Rocca returns to Moore Park after a long absence a day him and his family have been looking forward to as are the Rooster faithful.
Around The Traps The sportsman’s day was a great day compered by Matt Pillios who did a great job entertaining the crowd the speakers were all entertaining, thanks to Duck, Kouta, Diesel, Goodwin & Sav even Presti said a few words before doing a lap of honour. In what threatened to be put as much trash on the senior coach there were some cameos from Bill Clinton & The Godfather with over 200 attending we kept 2 sponsors entertained so thanks to Tom at the Darebin RSL and later to Ray at the Stolberg. The Juniors were light on numbers but they certainly delivered when it come to buy stuff. Thanks to Boags for some nice gifts and look forward to topping the day next year. Earlier in the week John Aloisi spoke about the importance of preparation and the the need to have belief in what you can achieve at another sponsor s place The Groove Train.
