Last week the sasusage sizzle went well outside the Collingwood store in Brand Junction. Milesy did his best to burn the place down and it was great to see the Billy Morrison fan club still in action with many fans asking how partyboy was. It was a 50/50 call to head down to the game and of course Spokesy made the wrong one. The chief drove us down and thanks to Wanita & Rhonda on some kitchen tips. We now have secured the market in the meat industry. Can’t remember what happened at the game and don’t really care to be reminded. The Best Player Ticket went to Billy Morrison.
This week we host Whittlesea for the first time in a while and no doubt they will have memories of having us all day except for the last 10 minutes. So no doubt will be another entertaining game of local footy and we invite the Whittlesea people in for a light refreshment before during and after the game.
Next week we host our friends Montmorency to Moore Park who always enjoy our hospitality ironically they will be the last team to use the away rooms.
Today we welcome all our sponsors, volunteers and junior team helpers for a lunch and thank you as we come to the end of another season of hard work and watching some good football

Had a good win against South Morang and took on MacLeod last night in a preview of next weeks semi. They will finish 4th in the top level and take part in the finals this year. They are looking at fielding a 2nd team next year for any ladies interested. They also cater for juniors at all levels.
Juniors Didnt have the best day at the office last Sunday with all 4 sides going down in the preliminary finals. This leaves the Under 17s left in the Big Dance this Sunday in a mouth watering re match against Eltham. Congratulations to AJ Natoli who took out the NFL Under 17s Best & Fairest, AJ has also played several games in the seniors this year. The Junior AGM and Presentation Day is on August 28th starting around 11.30 and going deep into the night.
Coterie Group is up and running again and at various levels so see Milesy, Polly or Mario for further details. So far the group has raised the best part of 50 grand which will all go towards building improvements and with the support of Darebin council we will see vastly improved facilities for both home and visiting clubs. Darebin Council announced its budget for this coming year and once again find ourselves on the receiving end of some more revenue for an upgrade to our ground lighting in 2012. The new multi purpose room has been pushed back to start in August. Some minor alterations have been made recently to improve everyone’s comfort.
