West Press
Welcome back to another exciting season of local footy and what a better way to start taking on last year’s premiers at their ground. With only one player missing from last year’s preliminary final and a couple of handy recruits we can look forward to another competitive year and hopefully our 3rd finals campaign in a row. But before that can happen a lot of hard work and commitment is needed from the playing group on and off the field. The coaching staff remains the same with the inclusion of Paul Signorello from the Under 17s last year as an assistant, Ash McGregor takes on the under 19s role.
Once again our practice match form under Vin sees us with a win loss ratio of 1/11 so not a lot to go buy but a few blokes get a chance to show their wares. Once again some players have chosen to move on to greener pastures and we wish them all the best and hopefully see them back in a Roosters jumper.
Next week its our first home game V MacLeod
Around The Traps. Heard from a local minister that glass installers don’t work under tilers. How long did Sando’s Bucks month go for or did Gail’s labour go longer and how many times can Phoebe walk down the aisle. The much troubled building works continues to unfold but by the time you’re reading this hopefully some soil has been turned
Opposition Clubs A new innovation this year introduced by Anthony Rocca’s friends at The MENZCLUB in Northland is at every home game we will award the best player from both our team and our opposition a voucher to the value of $75 at 5.45PM.
Now Pouring at the club. In conjunction with James Boag’s Draught supporting local footy the club has chosen to go exclusively with James Boag’s Draught & Toomey’s Extra Dry on Tap. We will also be exclusive with light/mid/low carb & craft beers. We encourage all our members and visitors to come on board and support the beer that is supporting our club and the wider NFL community. A reminder that all packaged beer from the booth will be in cans and no glass is to be taken outside on match days.
