Once again Whittlesea took it right up to us and it wasn’t until the last qtr that we got to the lead and maintained it till the end. Luke “Bingo” Cotchett was the man you needed in the Best Player Tickets. The 2s continued their late season charge with Sando getting the chocolates but just remember what Kenny Louder used to sell and if I was Brad I would be buying some. The 19s couldn’t keep it going all day and will need a touch of luck to be a part of September.
This week it’s the battle for the Mellerick / Mcneice Cup and with all the Mellericks up at Danny’s we might be a bit light on at the presentation. The following 2 weeks we are away at Heidelberg & lower Plenty before returning home for the last round V Eltham
Around The Traps.
Heard a rumour that we might be looking at a new leader in King Richard but he will be too busy organizing next year’s reunions featuring the 1993 Double and our first Div. 1 a Grade Flag in 2003. So for further info see cooly or if you can’t find him see Rick Crapper. Thanks to Marty Fitz and his contraption for moving all the soil away from the gutters and making footing a bit more comfortable for spectators it always pays to ask people to do favours after a few beers. Polly & Icey and even Steve got in the action mopping up the oval and it had not been for their hard work again the conditions would’ve been a lot worse if that’s imaginable, Sunday sippers will be back on at the club after the juniors play their games so get along and support the kids.
We have our own star of the future with Mike Snell son of Julie making it to the final 12 of the new hit reality show I will survive which will air on Channel 10 after the Olympics we wish him well and many will be watching intently to see how he survives. Michael was a star of some of our earlier Ladies nights many years ago.
