U 10 Blues Vs Bombers
A great day for the boys! From the first bounce the team were on fire, with a rapid piling on of goals. The next 3 quarters were a carbon copy of the first with great handballing and marking on display with everybody managing to kick 1 or more goals.
Man of the match was Jordan Cohen in a superb team effort.
U10 Whites Vs St Clair Crows
Mother Nature turned on some charm to put on one of her best Autumn days in recent history and Wrights Reserve, Quakers Hill was where the Mountain Men prepared to apply their skills against a formidable St Clair Crows outfit. The last few rounds have shown the Mountain Men have not been particularly fast starters and Saturday was absolutely no different. Spending the majority of the first half on their heels the Mountain Men broke the shackles early in the third quarter with a couple of quick behinds by Ethan Powell, then the Men began to play! A dominant performance in the ruck by Harry “Crackers” Keenan and Owen Powell got the Mountain Men back up and running, moving the ball with precision. The Swans would have been proud! The boys went into the third quarter break with the wind in their sails after some really impressive goals by Brandon Peary. As the crowd began to swell and get vocal, the Mountain Men put on a couple of quick goals, aided by some great ball movement by James “Sensei” Glasson and the ever present rock, Ford Atkins. Great day and a fun game of footy, job well done boys, see you Wednesday for at training.
U12, Div 3 Vs South West Tigers.
The boys showed their opponents what teamwork is all about in another terrific performance. POM Joe Shalders was everywhere, while Josh Egan, Ben Lambert, Tim Griffiths, and Ben Leaf all had strong games. Levi Whitmore chased hard all day and rookie Callum Jackson showed his worth kicking 3 goals. A great team effort! BMK 12-12-84 South West Tigers 4-1-25.
U14, Div 2 Vs Bombers
Our U14 Div 2 team travelled to Quakers Hills for their round 4 match up. In an extremely close game, the Kangas went down by 2 points to a very physical Bombers outfit. After our Round 1 disappointment this was a much closer contest. The Kangas had many chances in the last quarter but couldn’t kick that illusive goal.
Final score: Bombers 34 to BMK 32.
