The lights went on at Darley Park last Saturday night and the seniors made it 4 from 4 in an impressive 34 point win. With a lengthy injury delay in the first term, it’s a credit to the playing group to re-focus again. Kighty booted three goals in three minutes when play resumed, and four on the night in a best on ground performance.
Things didn’t quite click for Dimma’s lads in the Reserves but with a handful of new players arriving last week, and others returning from injury soon, hopefully it’s not long before they pick up another win. Willmott with three goals was named our best. The Unders went down by a point – scores were level as the siren sounded, Darley took a shot after the siren to give our boys their first loss of 2021. Jobbo returned from a throat injury with five “c’mons”, Dyl Edwards took a cracking mark (he’ll tell you about it) while Chase managed to get our first guernsey ripped for the year.
On the netball courts, D Grade registered our only win for the day. In Round 2 of BFL Women’s, the result went the way of Bacchus Marsh.

Player sponsorship is also a great way to support the club – with our new player pics ready to go why not add your name or business logo below one in the new clubrooms.
