Major Sponsor Coburns Earthmoving.
Today we head into Round 6 against Woorinen. The tigers have been on the prowl so far and today will be no different. After and less than impressive day at Tyntynder we need to focus and play as a team today.
Welcome to all the Ladies today who will be kicking up their heals upstairs for much of the afternoon. Tonight the boys are cooking teas (well its probably Blackers with some assistance). Stick around enjoy the day , the meal and then the Twiggy. That’s right “Lets get Jiggy round the Twiggy tonight”.
Also a reminder that the Sunday clean up roster starts tomorrow with the Under 17’s, 15’s and 13’s Netballers. Starting at 9am there are all sorts of jobs that need to be done. The more here the quicker its over and we can all get home. No excuses please.

Netball had a mixed bag last round. A Grade were pushed to the limit by a pretty slick Tyntynder outfit. Thanks to the young girls who stepped up – their input was great. B Grade had another tough game , Kerrie Curran was best on court. B Res won convincingly and Kristy Casey was best on court. Under 17’s Kate Looney was best on court. Under 15’s had a great win and Molly Henson was best on court. Under 15’s Res also had a good win and better players were Jenea Beggs and Ang Violi. The Under 13’s did it tough and Monica Threadgold was their best player. Under 13’s Res had a great win and it was Demi Andrews who was best on court. Great effort girls and good luck today.
Under 11’s had a terrific day last round. Great participation and enthusiasm by the players. Please if you can assist in some way step forward, don’t wait to be asked. If you’d like to have a go at umpiring or scoring, doing the flags or just getting the drinks ready it would be great. Encouragement awards went to Joshua Barone – IGA, Riley Daniels – Koraleigh Store, Will Hawthorn – Burtons Video and Cody Richardson – Subway. Couldn’t pick who the best singer was when they let rip with the theme song. Frank Violi and Beau Davey both kicked goals for the Under 13’s. Better players were Brent Daniels, Zane Saville, Lucas Caccaviello, Beau Davey and Johnny Caccaviello. Under 15’s had 5 different goal kickers – Jesse Walters, Zane Saville, Rhys Burge, Nick Threadgold and Brent Daniels. Better players were Cameron Looney, Riley Haberman, Rhys Burge and Brodie Larkings. Good luck today boys and girls. Hope we can here that theme song being sung load and strong again today.
Please don’t forget the Goods and Services Auction is coming up. If you can donate time, goods or services it would be appreciated. It might be a load of wood, a dressed pig, a nights accommodation, tickets to a show, autographed items or maybe you’d like to cook dinner for a group or individual. Please think about what you can give, big or small it all goes to help the club.
Good luck today to all the teams. Go Demons.
