Last week saw our girls take on Natte for a birth in the Grand Final, in what was expected to be a close affair. Navarre got off to a dominant start, feeding into the goals from the mid-court was good and in turn the goalies were on song, making a 10 goal lead at quarter time.
Navarre’s defense was tight all over the court and pressure over the opposition shots by Caitlyn Murphy and Taylor Mason provided multiple turnover opportunities.
By three quarter time Navarre had well and truly put their opposition's chances to bed, leading 42-21. Navarre were able to give all team members court time, displaying just how much depth of talent there is within this bunch of girls.
With a bounce in their stride the Hoppers never looked like losing, springing into their sixth straight Grand Final in the MCDFNL with a 26 goal win 54-28.
This week sees them take on Trentham, who defeated them in round 5 of the home and away season by 6 goals, in what was the best display of netball for the season. Navarre will need to maintain their finals form if they wan to topple the opposition to taste Premiership Glory for a 4th consecutive season.
GOOD LUCK GIRLS, we’ll all be their cheering you on!!
