Sunday was a day of mixed emotions. Proud to be in a grand final, sad to go down by just nine points. The team must be congratulated on the season’s performance. From near the bottom of the ladder last year to a grand final is a magnificent effort. You have given your supporters a lot of excitement throughout the year.
To the boys from the Northern Territory, you have with the local boys; brought supporters back to football and have been a great asset to the club.
Congratulations to James on winning the League Best and Fairest and also on the way you coached and presented the team each Saturday.
A lot of credit for this year’s success must go to Daniel and his small band of workers on the recruitment of players and the improvements around the ground. You can feel proud of a job well done.
The Under 17s and Seconds are the feeding ground for the seniors as we have seen this year and thanks must go the coaches and staff of these teams.
The Netball girls had a great year with A Grade Premiers and B and C Grades making the Preliminary Finals. Congratulations to all teams.
In a year in which we were runner-up in football, Premiers in Netball and League Best and Fairest winner, as a supporter I will take that anytime.
