The 19s were somewhat comfortable in wining winning by 30 odd but are said to have a lot of improvement in them which is a juicy prospect. Henry Chambers, Alexander ‘’Diggers’’ Digby and Tommy Landman all kicked 2 being the leading goal kickers for the team.
The reserves with a rather strong side unfortunately went down in close contest with Forest Hill . Nick Coad and Harry Lacchiana both kicked three for the ressies while Zach Tempany, Callum Ternes and Tom Girvan all played well.
Unfortunately, the senior team went down to Forest Hill by a bit however Chris Smith was an absolute presence up at full forward kicking 4 for a losing side and Cam McCasker was pretty good as well. Hopefully the 19s can continue their winning ways this week, the ressies can pull off a win and the seniors to bounce back hard and put on absolute scenes to get the season up and running.
Congratulations to Noah Bennett who plays his first senior game for the club tomorrow, another product of the Surrey Park Junior Club, for which we are very proud.
Our sponsor of the week is new jumper sponsor Nunawading Toyota. If you’re in the market for a new or used car speak to the committee and they’ll point you in the right direction. With thanks to Nunawading Toyota we're having the 'kick the ball into the back of the ute' contest where anyone has the chance to display their precise and immaculate foot skills to the surrey crowd. Just $2 (genuine bargain) a kick, winner gets half the kitty which in all honesty is the dream. When we last did this it was a huge hit with both kids and adults, so this time let’s go larger.
Some upcoming events:

Saturday May 19th – Past Player’s Day will be held against East Burwood at home, it’s been some time since our two clubs clashed and the old timers tell me we used to have some great battles. Put it in your diary, is always a great event
