They look to play 2nd on the ladder Park Orchards for the first time of the year, playing at home at 10:00 AM
The Reserves again showed their tremendous potential in defeating Nunawading by 96 points (being very unstable in front of goal kicking 15 goals with 20 points). Paul Collopy and Noah Bennett once again put on good performances they look to play for Forest Hill at 12:05 PM at home.
The One’s had battle in the first half of the game against Nunawading but ran away with game in the second half to win by 75 points. Nick Snibson and Zach Tempany both dominated all day and Chris Smith once again displayed his dominance kicking 9 big ones. They take on second on the ladder Forest Hill at home at 2:10 PM.
Mid-Year Report:
The seniors: They despite a slow start to the year have showed their potential in spurts and continued improvement. Several youngsters from the junior club have debuted and have shown that the connection with the junior club is very fruitful. They sit 8th on the ladder having won two games but are only 4 games outside the top four. Brougen Roberts and Kane Henden have both been consistent players being named in the best 5 times while star full forward Chris Smith has been a star being first in the competition for goals kicking 50 goals already.
The reserves: The reserves have been a consistently good performing team, with a lot of talent and high potential of achieving great things as a team. They sit 3rd on the ladder recording 6 wins out of the 9 games and being close in all the games that they have lost. Tom Veitch has been a consistent performing in the midfield recording in the best 6 times while Harry Lacchiana who earnt a senior game in round 9 has been another good performer for the side. Nick Coad leads the reserves goal kicking in the division with 19 from 6 games. Hopefully the reserves can continue their great form and cement a top 4 position.
The u19s: The u19s are yet to lose a game and sit well on top their ladder. They are yet to play the second side in Park Orchards who appear through their results to be at a similar level to us, however due to injuries, sickness and boys sore from midweek school games the 19s look to have lots of improvement in them. Ngong Arou while being named in the best 5 times is also leading the competition goal kicking with 23 goals (meaning we have the leading division four goal kicker in each grade) while Declan Marshall playing mostly half games due to school footy commitments has kicked 20. Midfielders Parker Fox and Alexander Digby have also been named in the best 5 times too. We optimistically look ahead for hopefully the u19s to continue their winning ways in the back half of the season.
