The Senior team sits at two wins and two losses, so this is a vital game for our push into the top four. With injuries continuing to cause problems for selectors, we welcome three new players into this week’s senior side. Captain Joe Crabtree returns from injury and is in the side for the first time this year. Also returning from injury is Darcy Sketcher, who will be a welcome addition to the back half. We also see Dan Smart, our Under 19 Captain making his senior debut this week, which will be a highlight for Dan, his family and the club. We wish all three the best of luck tomorrow.
Tomorrow also sees the first Presidents Lunch for 2016. From 12-2, there will be finger food and complimentary drinks. For our first event of the year we are taking a more relaxed approach so that attendees can more easily engage with each other, rather than be confined to a table!
Our Senor Coach Scott Hamill will be joining us and will go through in some detail his game plan for 2016. He will also discuss our key playing stocks, and happily take questions from the floor. We invite all members and supporters to attend this event, the cost for club members is just $20 and non-members $40. Please RSVP to this email if you wish to attend.
Visitors to Surrey Park tomorrow will also notice a Leader Community News event, where you can try and throw rolled newspapers into a giant letterbox. Everyone who participates is given a prize, depending on how many newspapers you get in, out of five. Head over and enjoy the fun.
A big thank you to all of our sponsors, Epworth Eastern, Chadstone Kia & Mitsubishi, Aussie Home Loans Blackburn and in particular UBIPark for theirongoing support. You can help UBIPark support the club by texting “PARK” to 0428 986 878 to DOWNLOAD the UbiPark App!
