Coldstream came again and scored two goals before Surrey backman Jordan Venebles fell awkwardly in a marking contest and unfortunately suffered a serious leg injury. The game was halted and players from both teams eventually left the field whilst ‘JV’ was attended to by medical staff from both Surrey Park Coldstream. We also thank Louise O’Connor, from Epworth, who made her way onto the ground and assisted while we waited for the ambulance to arrive. Jordan was taken to Epworth Richmond and underwent surgery the next day.
The game restarted and had just five minutes to run. Coldstream managed another goal to run out winners 6.4.40 to 4.3.27. A gallant effort by our guys, and once again we thank all that assisted Jordan.

The third quarter was a tight tussle early, before Coldstream again asserted themselves and outscored us five goals to two and led by 25 points at the last change.
