Jacob was in the starting 5 and a key member of the Victoria Country Bushrangers under 18 team that competed in the Australian Junior Country basketball Cup (AJCBC) at Albury Wodonga in January 2014.

Jacob was in the top four players for the Victoria Country under 18 mens team at the Australian Nationals in Belconnen Canberra where he helped his team win a National Bronze medal defeating S.A. Metro. Jacob's 7.8 points per game at 55.0% and 5.44 rebounds average complimented his solid team perfornace, doing much of the hard work to provide his team mates scoring opportunities while playing a solid defensive game. The team only lost one game by a single point in the whole tournament and Jacob was a solid contributor, recieving a call up to the Australian under 17 national camp at the AIS following his stellar performance.

Jacob Pupavac signed with the University of New Haven in Connecticut, near New York on four year academic and basketball scholarship. New Haven is a strong Division 2 NCAA basketball program playing in the Northeast 10 (NE-10) conference situated on the East Coast one hour from New York City. Located in West Haven, not far from the University of Yale, UNH is a strong academic instatution founded in 1920.

The 207CM 220lb Centre/Power Forward joins UNH who lose three seniors to graduation this season and the head coach is looking forward to having Jacob at their program next season. See the video interview on youtube at Geelong Supercats.

WEST HAVEN, Conn. – University of New Haven head men's basketball coach Ted Hotaling announced the addition of four student-athletes who will join the Chargers for the 2015-16 season. Najee Larcher (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Jacob Pupavac (Geelong, Australia), Tyler Reynolds (Syracuse, N.Y.) and Ben Vezele (Wilbraham, Mass.) join the program as members of the graduating class of 2019.

"We are excited about the new additions to our basketball program," stated Hotaling. "All four individuals competed in successful programs and have learned from outstanding coaches.  We look forward to watching them develop both on and off the court at the University of New Haven."

A key player in the Colac Kookaburras Victorian Country South Western Conference CBL (Country Basketball League) men's team playing against Mount Gambier in the grand final, Jacob helped his team win the championship by scoring 16 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks in a stellar performance. Jacob was also awarded the conference defensive player of the year and made the All Star 5 team.
