The Pigs & Co Bayside Bomberssuffered yet another defeat this weekend, this time at the hands of the competition powerhouse, The Sunshine Coast Rayners. In what could only be described as ordinary conditions at Victoria Point the big crowd saw the Baysiders have a night in the mud after a full day of footy at Casheez Park left the playing surface somewhat rain trodden.
With big names Bagnall, Buckley, Smith and the Taylors sitting on the sidelines, the Bombers welcomed back club legend and Tassie flyin player Mike tait back to Sharks. Tait had immediate impact on the game. As the rain fell so did the skill level as the crowd was seen to make a beeline indoors as the Masters boys enjoyed their play in the mud.
The Rayners snuck away to hold a 10 point buffer for most of the game, inaccuracy cost the Bombers late in the game, but this one can go down as a honourable loss as the Suncoast Boys have been undefeated for the last two seasons. Jason March and Scott Houston with a cameo from Mike Tait battled hard.
Bayside 6.8.44 lost to Suncoast 9.8.62.
Goals March 4, Houston 1 , Rickards 1.
Best Tait, Kearney, Houston, March, Dodd, Magher
