Interdistrict and ZFL Final Series CANCELLED
As a result of the announcement by the State Premier yesterday (26 Aug 2021), the Interdistrict Joint Board & Managers of Macquarie Football, Hunter Valley Football, Newcastle Football met and discussed what the impact of the extension to the lockdown restrictions, would have upon both the Interdistrict and Zone Football League Finals/GF series.
Taking into account all affects and disruption to the Finals, the expectation & pressure upon Volunteers, the safety of players & spectators, plus complying with State Health orders….the decision by the Joint Board is to CANCEL the Final Series including the Grand Finals for Interdistrict & Zone Football League for 2021.
The Premiers for both Interdistrict Grades & Zone Football League Divisions/Grades will be recognised.
Premiership Medals will be awarded with the distribution (collection) of medals to be announced in due course by your respective Zone Management.
