AQUIS FNQ FC Heat is pleased to announce their squad for the first game of the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues (NPL) Queensland 2016 season.

A formidable squad of experienced players and new starters make up the sixteen who will fight it out against Olympic FC on Sunday at 3pm at Goodwin Park, Brisbane.

Head Coach Tim Campbell has announced Jamie Carroll Captain of the weekend Squad with other players:

The weekend team sees four new players joining the Heat with Ari Isman moving from Townsville Fury and Bronson Koppen from Brisbane City FC.  English recruit Kieran Sanders will play his first game with the team while Darcy McCormack has come up through the Heat Academy to join the Senior Squad.

Tim Campbell is looking forward to a competitive 2016 season:

“The Heat are looking forward to a competitive season and are aiming for a play-off spot.  They have attracted some experienced NPL players into the squad to complement their existing players from last year.  They will be looking to play an exciting; possession based; attacking style of football.”

“The Heat will look to the senior players to lead the teams new and younger players on the pitch.  They have some excellent mentors and role models within their ranks and are planning to develop the next up and coming players from within their development squad.”

The full squad for the FNQ FC heat is yet to be named with six players still under negotiation.

Final training for this weekends game is at Endeavour Park on Thursday 25 February at 7pm. Tim and squad members available for interview from 6.30pm.
