Outgoing Head Coach

It was announced by FNQ FC Heat that Head Coach Tim Campbell would not be signing on for another season in 2018, after he made the decision to take a break from coaching. The club thanked Campbell for his outstanding contribution to the club over the past 2 years and said that the Head Coach, who was known to always go ‘above and beyond’ the call of duty, was held in high esteem by his players.

Captain Jamie Carroll said the team’s ‘Gaffer’ would be greatly missed.

“Tim’s a good motivator, every team talk was different. He’s good at getting the best out of his players. He definitely changed me as a player – not just on the field, but off the field too. Tim got us to the Grand Final last year, and almost the Premiership. He did a fantastic job.”

The position for Senior Head Coach was advertised by the Heat and interviews are underway, with a successful candidate expected to be announced in the coming fortnight.
