Professional Goalkeeping Tuition, run by former UK professional Goalkeeper, John Garside, is in the process of setting up goalkeeping academies in regional areas of Queensland, and Northern NSW.

He would like to run a one day clinic on Thursday July 4, 2013 at Murwillumbah Football Club. This
clinic offers the opportunity for young and developing keepers to experience a taste of what goalkeeper coaching should be like. It also allows him to gain an indication of the level of interest in the region and it's surrounds in a regular Goalkeeper Academy, however attendance at this clinic does not indicate an obligation to join.

John Garside is a former Goalkeeper with Doncaster Rovers, Barnsley and Wigan Athletic in the UK. He has been coaching Goalkeepers for 30 years and for the last 6 years he worked with Fernando Alves as Brisbane Roar Assistant Goalkeeper Coach, taking over from Fernando when he was on National Duties.

Fernando Alves (Current National U20 Goalkeeper Coach and Former Brisbane Roar Goalkeeper Coach) and John have had an association for over 10 years running their own Academy in Brisbane and developing a number of goalkeepers to international level.

Suggested Sessions would be as below:

9:00am - 10:30am ages 12-14
11:00am – 12:30pm ages 15-17
1:30pm – 2:30pm an introduction to Goalkeeping ages 9,10,11
3:00pm – 4:30pm ages 12-14
5:00pm – 7:30 pm ages 15-17 + Open

Attending both sessions for an age group is encouraged as different skills will be developed in each session.
