Senior Mens Training and Trials - Season 2014

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM SENIOR MENS HEAD COACH - DAVID LONIE - CALLING ANYONE INTERESTED IN BEING PART OF THE REIGNING PREMIERS OF GOLD COAST FOOTBALL IN SEASON 2014... A few announcements to make in regards to moving forward in to the 2014 season. MFC will be adding an extra team to the competition this season, we will have premier firsts, premier reserves and veto league 2. The same coaching and management that was with the 2 senior teams last season will be back in place. Myself, Dean Milosevic, Gabe Finardi, Tizzy Morrisini and Troy Godbee. Mick McCarthy who is head of senior operations will be overseeing things as he did last season. We would like to welcome our new Veto League 2 coach Guy Youngblutt (Hooter) who has joined us; the manager for the Veto League 2 team is still to be decided. We will be re signing our Physio, Bec Setree. Bec was a huge part of our successful season in 2013 and we welcome her back for 2014. Pre-season training will start with beach work at Casuarina, the same as we did last year to work on core strength from head to toe, plenty of sand work and water work. Make sure you bring your running shoes and boardies lads, the showers will be open at the rugby club afterwards. Sessions will only be short and sharp from 7pm nsw - 8pm nsw and we will meet in the parking lot at the Casuarina rugby fields. As we progress we will move on to the field. We will go with Monday and Wednesday nights starting on the 18th of November until we break on the 18th of december before xmas. We will then get back into it in the first week of January with dates to be announced. Seeing that it is only 8 sessions we want everyone there ready to roll. The season draw has been completed with our first game of the season being at home against Burleigh in the first week of March. We have been placed in our pool for the FA cup and we have drawn, Knights, Magic and Palm Beach. At this point we are starting to arrange our trial matches and get them in place for January onwards. We are encouraging all of our squad members from 2013 to join us in 2014 and we encourage all new faces to trial for the upcoming season.
Its going to be one hell of a season lads and we want everyone on the same page moving forward and hungry for success.
