FQNorth Proposed Restart of Senior 2020 Season

Hi Football Family,

North Queensland Football has prepared 2 calendars for the 2020 Season

Option 1 is based on COVID-19 easing in the 2020 season based on the weekend feedback from the Clubs and the majority requesting club football is finished by October 31.

NOTES

Rounds are Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Double Rounds are highlighted in Yellow.

If FFA Cup is played, it will be a mid-week round under Option 1

Youth Double Rounds are not the same as Juniors to free up Brolga Park for Youth on that Sunday if required.

Youth are unable to have school holidays off, as they have 4 rounds on the school holidays to be able to play Crad Evans and finish by end of October.

Double Rounds for Reserve Women and 3rd Division Men will be played on the Tuesday Night at Brolga Park & Burdekin / Ingham, with Ingham / Burdekin required to travel once only and Townsville clubs required to travel once only mid-week. 4 in total

All Grand Finals are on the week of October 28-October 31 with NQ Football reserving the right to play finals on any of these nights if the heat predictions are extreme.

Grand Finals should be on Friday & Saturday and could be at Brolga Park or Murray Park.

Option 2 is based on restrictions not being lifted due to possible COVID second wave. If this is the case Grand Finals will be played on November 28.

Please remember given this is a pandemic, things are not normal and we will make changes to the draw in the best interests of the majority of members.

We thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to strive to be able to provide a Football Season for all our Senior members. This advice is current as at 12th May as per Queensland State Government Health advice and conditions advised on 8th May 2020.

Kind Regards
