Football in the sunshine.
How would you like to play footy in a place where it's sunny and dry all season long?

We are currently looking for players for the 2010 season.
Does temperatures of 23 degrees every Saturday interest you?
What about an average of 300 days of sunshine a year?

Maybe the lifestyle of North Queensland, relaxed, friendly, and affordable is what you've been looking for.

If so then Townsville the unofficial capitol of North Queensland is waiting for you.

The Curra Swans Australian Football Club fields teams in all age groups
in the AFL Townsville competition. Under 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, Reserves
and Seniors. We generally play on Saturdays, with some Friday night
games as well. We currently have members from all walks of life and
from all over Australia. Maybe even some one from where you are.
We are a proud club with a fighting spirit that other teams fear.

Townsville itself is situated in tropical North Queensland. It is the
largest regional city in Queensland with a population of about 160 000
people. Currently experiencing above average growth it is known by many
locals as Australia's best kept secret.
Boasting sporting teams in the National Rugby League, The National
Basketball League, A League and a host of strong local competitions in many
sports, the people of Townsville love their sport.
Industry is still growing faster than the National average with plenty of work available in many different fields.
The city has a Zinc Refinery, Copper Refinery, Nickel Refinery, Meat
Works, Army, Air Force, University, Government Services, Qld 2cnd
biggest port, and of course Tourism. With all these industries and the
businesses needed to support them employment is usually not a problem.
The Curra Swans Football Club can help you gain employment with many of our members covering a wide section of the work force.

Most importantly is the climate. Townsville has
without a doubt the best winter climate in Australia. The average
temperature in winter is 14 - 22. Although there is a two week period
where the overnight temperature can drop to a chilly 7 degrees.
Sunshine, blue sky's, palm trees and lifestyle. Tempting isn't it?

So the next thing to do is check out more about our wonderful City by
Googling "Townsville". Then give us a call and we can help you
with the best decision you will ever make. a " lifestyle" decision.
